Call us first, then ForenSys on 9233 (local) or +5999 461 3282 (international/WhatsApp). Do not move the car until the police or ForenSys has been on the scene: without a ForenSys report the insurer does not cover the damage.

Who is allowed to drive the rental car?

The person who books is the main driver and must be 23 or older with a valid licence. Anyone else who wants to drive must be added as an extra driver for €5 per day, with their details.

Do you drive on the left or the right on Curaçao?

On Curaçao you drive on the right. Road signs are international and speed limits are usually 40-60 km/h in built-up areas and 80 km/h outside them.

How far apart is everything on Curaçao?

Hato Airport to Willemstad is about 12 km (15 minutes), to Bluebay about 15 minutes and to Westpunt with the best beaches about 40 km (45 minutes). With a rental car you can cross the whole island in a day.

How does refuelling work?

You get the car with a full tank and return it full. You refuel yourself at a Curoil or Texaco station; most accept debit cards and cash.

Outside Willemstad parking is almost always free, including at beaches and supermarkets. In central Willemstad and Punda there are paid car parks, so keep some change or a card handy.

Yes. Watch out for speed bumps, goats along the road and puddles after rain. Never leave belongings visible in the car, not even at beach car parks, and always lock it.

How can I pay and how does the deposit work?

You pay in cash, with a down payment or in advance. With basic cover we hold a deposit up to the € 475 excess; with All Risk the deposit is waived.
